Prices 2012

We offer you Excellent Value

Your vacation with us is excellent value for money.  Car hire and insurance can be over £300 per week and  fuel costs the equivalent of $9 a gallon! Add to that the problems of driving on the left hand side of the road, navigating along our very narrow roads, finding a parking space and arranging accommodation it makes sense to let us organise everything for you.

What is included in the price?

We include private guided tours, comfortable accommodation (private en suite bathrooms), breakfast, gourmet three course dinners with wine and pre-dinner drinks. The entry fees to castles, gardens etc. and lunches are NOT included.  The cost of your holiday is based on the number in your party and the length of stay. Our standard package offers a mix of full day (8 hour) and half day (4 hour) tours which can be varied if wished. Prices are based on all members of a group booking together using one car during their stay.

You can book any length of stay from 4 to 14 nights, choosing your own arrival and departure

Contact us now via our Enquiry page with details of your party size and preferred dates and let us quote for your next vacation in England.

What will entrance fees cost?

For a major National Trust property expect to pay around GBP13 for the house and garden - there is usually a gardens only ticket which costs less. Smaller properties e.g. Thomas Hardys Cottage will cost less at GBP5.  Entrance fees for gardens are usually in the range GBP 4 - GBP10.  Stonehenge costs GBP7.80 and the Roman Baths in Bath are GBP12.25. Most places offer concessions for seniors and students/children.

The cathedrals usually ask for a voluntary contribution and GBP5 is the suggested amount. Churches generally do not request payment.

You may be able to save on entrance fees by purchasing the National Trust Touring Pass which offers free entry to all National Trust properties. The Pass is available for 7 or 14 days and for either individuals, 2 adults or families. Below is a list of the National Trust properties that you might visit in our region with the 2012 entry fees.

If you want to visit three or more of these locations during your stay, then a National Trust Touring Pass priced at GBP41 for two adults is a good buy. You can buy the Pass from VisitBritain Tourist Information Centre, 1 Regent Street, London SW1Y 4XT or online. The Pass must be bought in advance - purchasing on-line before you travel is probably advisable.

Not all of the locations we visit are owned by the National Trust, so this pass will not give free entry to every location that you might want to visit.
